Hamilton Property Inventory Group is preparing to expand into the West Midlands, starting with Birmingham and Coventry. Before we take our first bookings in the region, we want a team of trained, local clerks in place, so that when we launch, agents and landlords get the same fast, reliable service our clients already know. That is why we are recruiting now.
What a property inventory clerk does
Inventory clerks visit rental properties on behalf of letting agents and landlords. Using a smartphone app, you record the condition and contents of each room with photographs and clear descriptions, producing inventory, check-in, mid-term and check-out reports. These reports are the evidence that decides deposit disputes, so accuracy and attention to detail matter.
Why Birmingham
Birmingham has one of the largest private rental markets outside London, from city-centre apartments to student houses and family homes across the suburbs. That scale makes it a natural next step for us, and a strong place to build a flexible, self-employed career in inventory work.
No experience needed
You do not need to have worked in property before. We provide full training, including an online session and practical, on-site experience, so you can produce professional reports with confidence. Experienced clerks can start without completing the course.
What you need
A full UK driving licence and your own car, a smartphone with a good camera, confidence with apps, good written English and a professional, reliable approach. Above all, you need to be comfortable working independently and paying close attention to detail.
Register now to be among the first
Clerks who join now will be among the first in our West Midlands team when we launch. See our inventory clerk jobs in Birmingham and Coventry, find out what the role involves on our Start Your Journey page, or read more about how to become a property inventory clerk.
